Between the Lines new coverBetween The Lines by Drew Sera

    Description

“She believed she could, so she did.”

My name is Amy Andrews, and those are the words I live by.

I write happy-ever-after romance novels, and after writing ten romance novels you’d think I’d know a thing or two about love. But I’ve been chasing my own happy-ever-after for a long time.

I seem to have no problem starting my fairytale, but the ending never comes to be. My love life isn’t the best-seller that I’ve written, so I decided to change things up and write a dark romance.

While finding my way around and reading books in that genre, I discovered something unexpected. I found a sexy, romantic man who happens to have a soft spot for romances.

He’s an alpha male, and that type would never have appealed to me before…but it’s amazing what you see when you look between the lines.

    Reds Review

    The Prince and his Princess

This is the second books I’ve read by Drew Sera. The first was Saving Graves. My point for saying this is that I have read these two books like stand alones, which you totally can, how ever I see now why reading from the beginning will have more meaning.
What I’ve also found is Drew Sera has a way of developing emotions of all sorts. Each of the books I read had a strong emotional reaction from me. From the gleefully new love interest kind like in the his book, to the heart wrenching anger in the other.
Talking specifically about Between the Lines, I love the way Amy is part of this book world I have grown to love. I especially love how Drew has used real blogs I am a member of. A few of them are admin’d by women I admire greatly in the blogging community. Ii started my own blog in Dec 2017. I had no idea Drew had included them in this book. The Facebook connection and author events are so fun and real. It made me smile at how Drew showed her appreciation by including these real blogs in her book.
    — i am attending my first author in event and ironically Ms. Drew Sera will be there. I am excited to connect the dots between this line and Drew as the author.

Now I will be starting at the beginning with Fragile

    Fragile-Book 1,The Everett Gaming Series

    New Release

    Title: All The Right Moves
    Author: Becca Taylor
    Genre: Romantic Comedy
    Release Date: October 13, 2018

Being called the worst boyfriend can do a number on a man’s ego.

But I handled it the way any full-grown adult male would—by eating copious amounts of carbs and wallowing over whether I was good enough.

I admit, it wasn’t the best of moments, but it made me realize I needed answers to the question, what are women looking for inside and out of the bedroom?
After I researched the subject, I compiled my data into a solution.
    Thirty days.

    Thirty right moves.
But I needed to test out my newfound theories, and my best friend, Tenley, was going to help.

    It was a foolproof plan.
We would date and act like a real couple, all in the name of research. And when the thirty days were up, we would go back to being just friends.

    Piece of cake, right?
Only, I forgot to take into consideration the multiple outcomes. Specifically, the one where it left me wanting more and refusing to go back to what we were… ever again.

Becca Taylor dived headfirst into the world of writing in 2015. As a child, she explored writing songs. As a teen, she wrote poetry until she found a love of all things romance.

One night, a dream turned into an idea. An idea turned into a chapter. A chapter turned into a novel and a new adventure began.

  • Red’s Author Chit Chat with Marsha Black

Red’s Author Chit Chat with Marsha Black

Hi Marsha, Thank you for stopping in so we can get to know you better. You said your genre is more Young Adult but that your anthology stories might not be suitable for the average YA reader. Maybe for a more mature audience. That is great to know. Congratulations on your first book, The Triplet’s Curse – Hope’s Story: Book One. I can’t wait for you to tell us more about you and your books.

    1) Do you have a favorite character from The Triplet’s Curse?

Marsha: I really enjoy Hope. She reminds me of how I was when I was a teenager and I had so much fun writing her story.

Red: How interesting to get a peek into your teen years while reading this book.

    2) What is your favorite part of being a published author?

Marsha: I love gaining new fans and being able to talk and interact with them.

Red: Fangirling is a real thing. Trust me, just doing this interview with you I have to control myself. Authors are superstars in out world.

    3) Where is the strangest place you had a book or character idea come to you?

Marsha: I had a series idea come to me on the way to the dentist, lol. I thought that was quite funny.

Red: I ask this question of each author and I have to say that this a first for the idea box.

    4) I am sure you don’t sit with a timer but if you had to guess how long does it take for you to write a book?

Marsha: This completely varies, I work full-time, taking online college courses and have a toddler, so with the help of my boyfriend I get writing done, but it’s not every day and not always a lot at a time.

Red: Sounds like me when I am trying to clean house. Writing is much more fun than cleaning up after a toddler.

    5) Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?

Marsha: I do read them. Thankfully I’ve only had good reviews, but I wouldn’t mind bad as long as there’s a reason why. I don’t see the point in giving a book one or two stars, but not explaining or contacting me about what you didn’t like about the book. I want to make my book an enjoyable read, and I can’t do that if I don’t know where mistakes are being made.

Red: Very well said. The star rating system is severely flawed in my opinion. Here at The Redhead’s Book Blog we don’t use stars. The written content in a review is what is important in determining the opinion of the reviewer. Ok, I am off my soapbox now. As you can see this is something I have put a lot of thought into.

    6) What do you do when you suffer from writer’s block?

Marsha: I have thankfully not had to suffer through writer’s block as of yet.

    7) Which of your books do you wish more readers were aware of?

Marsha: I currently have The Triplet’s Curse – Hope’s Story released. A novella in Dark Waters: A Mermaid Anthology and The Triplet’s Curse – Destiny’s Story(Book Two) rereleased Aug 2018.

    Red: You have been busy.

    8) Did you have a mentor when you started?

Marsha: I did not. I was a reader and participated in Facebook events before starting back writing.

    9) What advice would you give an aspiring author?

Marsha: Go for it. It can be scary and nerve-wracking. You may worry about if anyone might like your story or not. The best thing I can say is…do it for you. There will be people who like it and people who don’t. If you enjoy writing the story and it’s something that you would read, then more power to you. Have faith in yourself. Even if you’re book isn’t well liked, you accomplished a goal in writing a book, and there are people out there who would be willing to help make it better by working with you on it. So never despair.

Red: That is awesome advice. I had some tell me to carry a notepad and if I felt like writing a few sentences to do it. It’s fun to go back a look at those little bits from months ago.

    10) What can we expect from you in the future?

42 & Beyond: A Space Opera Anthology is available for preorder and is releasing Oct 12, 2018. I’ll be working on the 3rd book of the trilogy. Fingers crossed I’ll get it released by the end of the year. I do have about 4 or 5 other anthologies I’ll be part of this year, all of varying genres and story lines. I have a YA Fantasy stand alone I will be working on as well as a series I’m hoping to start next year.

    About Marsha Black

Mother of 2, avid reader, lover of anything and everything paranormal/supernatural. Enjoys reading, watching TV, and hanging out with her kids. Hopes that through her written books, readers can escape from reality, as many books did for her. Writes clean YA/NA, with some toe-dipping in other genres. Loves reading reviews and interacting with new readers/fans, so don’t be afraid to befriend and/or get in touch with her.

The anthologies I am part of, even my stories may not be acceptable for teens, so make sure to check the ratings of anthologies if looking to get them for teens.

Adults, I prefer writing clean YA/NA. I can write make-out scenes as far as anthologies or possible co-writings may go.

Please keep these in mind going forward, since I don’t want any of my fans blind-sided by a descriptive make-out session within a story or anthology the is not rated PG-13 or below.
